Jobs in Advice, as part of AdviceUK, operates both according to the Data Protection Acts of 1984 and 1998 and our own high standards of data protection. We understand that security of any personal data you may submit to us is extremely important to you. We take this responsibility very seriously.
1. What information will we collect from you?
We will ask for your name and email address. That’s it.
2. Why do we need this information?
We will use this information to send you job alerts via email and occasionally emails on the site itself. It will also allow employers to send you job packs where appropriate. Your name is to help us ensure that all accounts are genuine.
AdviceUK and some employers will be able to take anonymous statistics on numbers who have looked at adverts, requested information packs etc. Employers will not have access to personal details of account holders unless you choose to give them that information by requesting a job pack.
3. Will my information be used for other purposes?
No. By creating an account you are giving us permission to hold your details solely for two reasons only – for you to search for jobs and for us to send you emails about the site and new jobs that have come in. We will never sell your details or give them to any other organisation.
4. What about cookies?
We will not request or supply any cookies information to your computer.
5. What happens if I want my information changed or deleted?
You have the right to see any information we hold about you. You also have the right to delete or change it. To remove a jobs email alert all you have to do is press Unsubscribe on the email. However if you also wish to permanently delete your details from our records, change them, or just see what information we hold, please contact us:
